Seattle Cascades Welcome Eric Yahrmarkt as 2023 Percussion Arranger
The Seattle Cascades is excited to announce Eric Yahrmarkt as the Seattle Cascades Percussion Arranger.
According to Ray Severns, Director for the Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps: "Eric Yahrmarkt is among the finest percussion teachers in the Northwest and has designed shows for some of our most outstanding bands and winter drum lines throughout Oregon and Washington. He is well regarded by the percussion community and I am thrilled to have him on the team. I know he will bring his considerable talents and quality percussion writing to the team. I am excited just thinking about the possibilities, and cannot wait to hear what Eric brings to the Seattle Cascades this season. It will definitely be great!"
Eric Yahrmarkt is an accomplished percussion instructor and arranger with experience teaching, performing and writing for a wide range of ensembles. His experience in the Pacific Northwest spans 20+ years of competitive percussion excellence, private instruction, and performance. He received a Bachelor's degree in Percussion Performance under professor David Jarvis at Washington State University (2000-2004). From 2000 to 2002 Eric performed in the tenor line with the Seattle Cascades Drum Corps.
Eric’s teaching experience includes Seattle Cascades, Oregon Crusaders, OC Indoor, numerous high schools and an active private lesson studio. Currently he serves as the Percussion Director/Arranger for Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, WA.
