Boise Gems and Northwest Youth Music Association Announce Partnership

The Northwest Youth Music Association (NYMA) and Seattle Cascades drum and bugle corps are pleased and proud to announce we have entered a strategic partnership with the Boise Gems drum and bugle corps led by Austin Moldenhauer.

The NYMA has been hard at work these past few months working with Cole Marsh, Executive Director and Austin Moldenhauer, Corps Director on this partnership. The number one goal of this joint venture is to expand the reach of the Boise Gems to more students in the Pacific Northwest.

The Boise Gems drum and bugle corps is a recently established drum corps in the Treasure Valley of Idaho. Their goal is to provide youth with performing arts programs that will enhance their musical appreciation and skills, teach self-discipline and self-confidence, as well as teach the importance of dignity and pride in their community; all through music education.

“We are excited to have Boise Gems partner with the NYMA. Their commitment to education, family and youth development aligns perfectly with our organization’s vision. We couldn’t be more excited to help the Boise Gems expand their reach across the Pacific Northwest.” said NYMA Executive Director, Michael Leone

"We could not be more excited to enter this partnership with NYMA/Seattle Cascades, who have such a strong and long-standing history of drum corps in the Northwest. With their support, we will create even better experiences and opportunities for youth in the Treasure Valley. We all can't wait to see this partnership help elevate music education and performing arts to the next level in the Northwest!" said Boise Gems Corps Director, Austin Moldenhauer

Boise Gems next camp will be held on December 9th at Nampa HS in Nampa, Idaho as they continue to audition new members for their 2024 season.
