2019 Participant Registration Form

All students who are participating in a Seattle Cascades sponsored event or activity must complete a 2019 Participant Registration form. If you are under the age of 18, this form must also be signed by a parent or Legal Guardian. Please download and complete the form linked below, and bring a completed copy to the event. We will have copies there for you to complete in case you are unable to print this form prior to the event.

What to Bring

If you are a brass player, you should bring a mouthpiece, and your instrument if you have one available. If you don't have an instrument, we can provide one for you. The majority of our brass instruments are Yamaha, with a few Jupiter's here and there. If you have questions, please e-mail brass@seattlecascades.org

If you are a percussionist, bring some sticks and a practice pad if you have one, otherwise we will provide everything you need.

For Color Guard, wear clothing appropriate for movement and dance, and if you wear gloves to spin, bring a pair. We will provide all other equipment.

What to Expect

We will start the day as soon as everyone is registered. You can help speed the process along by completing the registration form before hand. We will spend a portion of the day working on visual exercises, and then split off into sectionals for music and technique sessions appropriate to your instrument or equipment. All participants should wear comfortable clothing, appropriate for movement and exercise!

We will break for lunch at mid-day. We will be enjoying a hot lunch of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, salad, chips and fruit prepared by our Food Services team. We will have a vegetarian option available as well. This is a great time to meet some of our returning vets, and make some new friends who share your passion for the activity.

For Parents

We encourage all parents to visit with our staff during registration, lunch or after the event concludes. You are also welcome to stay for the day if you are so inclined. We have plenty of opportunities to volunteer or otherwise contribute to the success of the corps no matter how much, or how little time you have to offer. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. There will be a Board of Directors meeting following lunch, and parents and other interested parties are welcome to attend.
