consistency drives the cascades forward

The Cascades continue to grow with a solid administrative team in preparation for the 2011 season. Returning as Director and CEO will be Dr. Sal Leone. In this position, Dr. Leone will once again be responsible for the overall direction and guidance of the organization. Also continuing in the position of Assistant Director and COO will be Ron Comfort. Ron’s duties include staff coordination, logistics, and day to day operation during the summer tour. Returning in the role of Program Coordinator is Mike Leone. Mike has been involved with the Cascades for many years as a member, instructor and Director. In this position, Mike will be responsible for the field production, caption head coordination and on-site design management.

New to the 2011 administration team is the addition of John Freeman in the role of Assistant Director of Member Services. John has been involved with the Cascades since 2001 and has taught numerous programs throughout the United States and Canada, his passion and understanding of the activity is unparalleled. We are very excited to have Pat Davis back. After taking a year off, Pat will serve as Assistant Director of Adminstrative Services. Pat has been with the corps for almost 10 years serving many roles. Also new to the admin team is the addition of Steve Menefee in the role of Artistic Director. Steve has been a leader in the Northwest music scene for many years and has held staff and direction roles with the Cascades along with his position as Director of Bands at Ferndale High School. Steve will be responsible for the artistic coordination of the sound design along his duties as Brass Co-Caption Manager.

The continuity of successful northwest leaders in the marching industry has allowed the corps to continue its’ growth as the Northwest’s premier world-class drum and bugle corps. Cascades was founded in 1957 and is one of the most established drum corps in the United States.
