may camp report

Wow! Brand new King Ultimate Marching Brass! We are talking about a seriously happy brass section. The brass members arrived early on Friday to sort out assigning new instruments and after their first warm up, spent the rest of the evening working on the corps song, Imagine. The new instruments are truly beautiful.

There were seven new members this camp and the corps continued to develop the 2010 production by putting the third piece, River Flows In You, on the field with drill. The weather was stunning, the new West Valley High School is wonderful and camp was a complete success. The final performance included seven minutes of drill and music and a standstill concert of Tomorrow and Imagine for the many fans.

On a sunny Mother's Day, we were blessed with over 13 Moms that came to camp to donate their time and skills hemming uniform pants and sewing many flags. Thanks Moms! Not to be outdone, the Dads reconstructed the tuba bays on the equipment truck and focused some needed attention to the engineering and improvement of the main staircase. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Sheryl Koch.

The next camp, Memorial Weekend - May 28th-31st

There are positions available in the Brass, Colorguard & Keyboards. If you are interested in participating this summer, please sign up online and a staff member will contact you to help you get started.
