2010 drum majors announced

The Drum Major for the 2010 season is Patrick Beare. He currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is a music education major at the University of New Mexico also studying percussion and conducting. He comes to the Cascades as a rook-out after marching with Oregon Crusaders as their tenor section leader in 2009. The Cascades is excited about the maturity and educational experience that Patrick brings to the Drum Major position.


This year's Assistant Conductor will be Bennie Hodder, a one year veteran of the euphonium section. Currently living in Seabeck, Washington, he is a senior at Klahowya Secondary School and has 2 years of conducting experience as their current Drum Major. Mr. Hodder will assist Drum Major Patrick Beare in the leadership responsibilities, and therefore transition into the main Drum Major role in 2011.
